Zephyr is a roleplaying forum with a new twist- MONEY. A currency system adds many layers of functionality to your traditional forum roleplaying game.
Features:
Evolving Story
As time passes in the imaginary world of Evia, the plot will advance and players will have the chance to get involved in world shaping events.
Defined Characters
Players are asked to submit well defined character sheets as they join Zephyr, forcing them to lay out all of their characters physical traits to give their fellow roleplayers a good base and keep even ground. Players can choose from 7 playable races, each with its own advantages and disadvantages, and all of a players possessions and abilities are determined by inventories and stat systems.
Paid-per-digit
Every post made in one of the two roleplaying boards earns users a certain amount of gold for each letter in their post, in addition to a base rate for having posted at all. This encourages RPers to give long, detailed posts instead of two liners, while cutting down on staff-dependent reports. Users are by no means required to have long posts, but those who do are rewarded.
Shops
Money earned via posting can be used in a variety of shops to purchase posessions for characters. While by default, all characters can get some free clothes and weapons from a newbie shop, to have swords and more advanced weaponry a user must participate and earn gold. This prevents god-moding. Have some old armor you wan't to sell? Don't even for a second think
that the shop keeper will buy it back for a good price. Shopkeepers buy
things back at a severly reduced rate, costing you a lot of money to
upgrade your equipment. That's why there are-
User Shops
Put your old gear in a user shop to help the local economy. Offer your old things for a bit less than the shop keepers, and your customers will be glad to take your old armor. You can also sell items you have synthesized through blacksmithing, alchemy or other methods for high amounts.
Jobs
Users can apply for in-game jobs, depending on their RP post count. Higher level jobs are only available to higher-level players, and pay more money each week. Users must log in to collect their pay.
Bank
Who carries all of their money with them at all times? The Royal Bank of Evia is glad to hold onto users extra gold- and even pay a bit of interest.
Blogs
Each user can also have a blog to use for whatever they wish.
